Malini Agarwalla had one exciting collection where all her friends came out to flaunt her latest collection. She asked Vidya Malvade, Madhoo Shah, Shaheen Abbas, Maria Goretti, Mini Mathur and Sharmilla Khanna to walk for her, with all these stunning ladies who needs models?!
The pieces were not as colorful as the other range that was also showcased along with them. this interpretation of the Kwaluzu was big chunky antique gold beads, decorative plates and fringe. The bags had animal print with a bit of beading, these were the detailing seen on Malaga creations.

Speaking about the collection she showcased on the models Malini says, “The Kwazulu collection by Malaga uses all the facets of the ‘land of the Zulus’ to make a tribal inspired, colourful collection of bags ideal for the high summer season. The geometric embroidery patches are inspired by the beadwork that is worn by Zulu women in their belts, dresses and head gear. These influences add that extra flair, and with the colours used, make each bag a statement of individual style”

The accessories were inspired heavily from the women in the Zulu tribes. Geometric patters that use tiny colourful beads were featured on many bags. The shape of the bag this season (according to what was seen on this runway) was a slightly large boxy and square shape, which is a blessing to me, as I’ve always got to carry around so many of my gadgets. Neck pieces with big stones along with the iconic tribal patches that look festive and bright will be a a statement for all your brunches coming up! Team up a Kwazulu wide beaded belt with one of those new era silhouette dresses we’ve so much of on the runway and you’ll be on trend this summer season.
