Thanks to my party soulmates Parul & Hiren Kakad, I recently discovered a new “neighborhood bar” in Santacruz called Three Wise Men owned by Nishant Joshi, Pratik Parekh and Atul Chopra. In fact, they’ve just recently opened and the night I went Esha Deol was there with her fiance Bharat Takhtani (pulling the strategic “incognito starlet” move, perched on a bar stool facing the far corner of the bar, cleverly hidden by her own long hair! #wellplayed)
So I decided not to ruin her private moment by taking a picture and instead focused my attention on the ceiling which features a whole lot of cool art from galleries in London (which I believe you can even buy if so inclined!)
Reminiscent of all those years spent at On Toes or ToTos, Three Wise Men has an interesting vibe of it’s own. I like the exposed brick and old phone booth. (I even saw some dudes posing with it!) All they really need is a dart board and foosball table and I’m there!
I think stylist Marv D’Souza described it best overall, he said it reminded him of the bar in How I Met Your Mother and you know what, with the right characters in place I could totally see that! One of these days I’ll reserve a booth and shoot a mock-tale. *snigger*
Oh and for sports lovers, there is a giant screen you can see from anywhere in the bar, because it’s slap bang in the middle and if you’re the wagering type, bet someone the house shot (also called Three Wise Men) a heady concoction of Jack Daniels, Jim Beam and Johnny Walker! (Fair warning: definitely not for the weak spirited.)

PS. The owners love their English bars and are hoping to one day be open for breakfast too! Till then great place to pre-game (did someone say Trilogy?)
I also think it’s highly convenient that it’s right across the street from Santacruz police station. I mean really, that’s the last place they’d look right?! *Lol*
Overall I give it a two thumbs up, so give it a TWM shot! I’m hoping to have a MissMalini How I Met Your Mother (Bar) Night there one of these days, wanna come? Stay tuned! xoxo
