Back in 1991, our very own legendary Asha Bhosle teamed up with another legendary performer to bring out a cult song called Bow Down Mister. The artist was none other than gender-bender Boy George, best known for singing anthems like Karma Chameleon and Crying Game.

The song was released on the album Jesus Loves You and in his book Take It Like A Man, Boy George was quoted as saying, “Bow Down Mister swept me up in a spiritual whirl and I became an unlikely queer envoy for Krishna Consciousness!”

Now, it emerges that Asha’s equally legendary sister, Lata Mangeshkar, will team up with none other than – hold-your-breath – Lady Gaga, for a new number called India Enchanted.

According to Lady Gaga, “I was so enamoured by India when I was there a few months ago. I was enchanted! Also, who better to team up with than Lata Mangeshkar? I hope my Indian fans like it when we release it at the end of June 2012!”

Rumour also has it that Lady Gaga’s new friend, actor Arjun Rampal, will feature in the video, to be shot in Rajasthan, Agra, Kashmir and Mumbai city.

This is one collaboration we’re definitely looking forward to!
