WaterBearers is a collaborative show of live floral arrangements and installations by Design Temple, Libellule and Veuve Clicquot. All the water bearing vases are inspired by urban Indian cities have been partly sourced, partly created by Design Temple. They have received new life with flowers flown in by Libulle from Holland, Sweden and other countries in the EU. Cliquot – a pro design brand, provides the most exquisite metaphor of optimism with its champagne.
To me this show is about the optimistic spirit of a city – despite the cracks in an obvious lack of supply.

The starting point of WaterBearers was Nazneen Jehangir of Libellule, creating a body of 30 arrangements, which were then photographed and printed for posterity as archival prints. 5 design experiments by our studio, inspired by these arrangements are also on display – forming the experimental part of the show. See the drain pipe that spouts hope and optimism. Or the copper pipe vases especially created for the show titled “arteries”.
