After her whirlwind trip of Mumbai and Agra, American designer Diane Von Fursteburg jetted off to Nepal where none other than fellow-designer Prabal Gurung played host and tour guide to her.

On arrival in Nepal, Diane wrote on Twitter (4th April), “It is amazing how in 2 days I learned so much about Nepal! Such an interesting, varied, tolerant country. So impressed with the Nepalese people…intelligent, interested and interesting and PROUD of their country!”

She further wrote, “Yesterday Prabal took me to White Monastery where Guru Khokien Kin Poche gave me blessings and books…it was beautiful.” And if that was not enough of an experience, she adds, “Watched an entire cremation at PASHUPATI, the most sacred Hindu temple.. incredible experience!”

Diane also visited a girl’s school. She writes, “Went to visit a school. Girls so eager to learn! Some of them were married at 10 but they know learning is freedom!”
