Last night, I was at the Trident Hotel at Nariman Point for an event and just as I entered the main lobby, I saw a curious crowd of people taking photos of a man in a red jersey. Going up-close, I realised it was none other than “The Wall”, Rahul Dravid!
Now I’m not exactly a fan of cricket but seeing a legend like him an arms-length away, got me all goose-bumpy! So I waited for an opportune moment to ask him to pose with me for a pic and he happily obliged without any fuss!
In fact, he was more than happy to pose for all his fans and seemed genuinely appreciative of their love for him.
So often, we come come across arrogant Bollywood types who either don’t oblige fans for pictures and autographs or those who do it grudgingly, as though they are doing you a huge favour!
No wonder Rahul Dravid is called The Wall – his humility is rock-solid!
