One of the main reasons I’m looking forward to seeing Kunal Kohli’s Teri Meri Kahaani is – not just Priyanka Chopra or Shahid Kapoor – but the costumes designer Kunal Rawal has created for Shahid.
The interesting thing about this film is that is spans three distinct eras – the first decade of the Twentieth Century (circa 1910), the Swinging Sixties, and the present (2012). And adding to the fun is that each era is set in a different geographical location, giving Kunal a vast canvas to play with.
As part of his research, apparently, Kunal traveled to Lahore in Pakistan to unearth designs of the clothes and accessories they wore pre-Independence.
The part which is set in the 1960’s is centered in Mumbai while the segment where they are shot in the present (2012) is picturized in London.
Sounds like a lot of fun!
