At long last, Indigo Deli threw open it’s doors in Bandra over the weekend, with celebrity-studded parties hosted by owners, Rahul and Malini Akerkar. Touted as one of Mumbai’s much loved all-day diners, the new Indigo Deli is located off Pali Market. This 62-seater New York-style eatery will offer guests a combination of privacy and comfort, and is sure to become the highlight of the foodie paradise that Bandra is today.

The menu over the weekend launch was brimming with dishes that are sophisticated versions of popular comfort foods like Mac n Cheese, Chicken Salad Sandwich, Hot Dogs, etc. Those familiar with Indigo Deli will be glad to know that the menu at Bandra will remain the same with wholesome burgers and sandwiches, crispy airy pizzas, seasonal soups and salads, but with a few additions like Chef Rahul Akerkar’s original creation called Eggs on The Beach – the tropical cousin of the Eggs Benedict – or more simply, Poached Eggs with Hollandaise Sauce served with Crab Cakes and Crispy Bacon.
All-time favourites like the Pulled Pork Burger, Chicken Wings, Eggs Divinity, Philly Cheese SteakSandwich, Chorizo Pizza, etc, as well as mouthwatering dessert choices like Baked Yoghurts, Souffles, Cheesecakes, Cupcakes etc offered a memorable gourmet experience to all the celebrity guests who were present!
Among the celebs spotted were Dia Mirza, Lara Dutta, Rohan Sippy, Kabir Khan, Shaad Ali, Sheena Sippy, Ali Merchant, Monisha Jaising,Tisca Chopra, Siddharth Dhanvant Sanghvi, Zoya Akhtar, Vivan Bhatena, Isha Sharvani and Vikram Raizada.
