We asked you if Mallika Sherawat was losing her appeal, since the news doing the rounds suggested her item song from Tezz had been axed due to a lack of response. Well, look who’s gotten another chance…

Apparently, the director Priyadarshan did not want Mallika’s song in the film – he claims it was for promotion only and its inclusion wasn’t necessary. However, the producers decided that they wanted the item song in, especially since they’re the owners of a music company (Venus). And since they’re the ones spending the big bucks, guess which decision was made final?

Lucky Mallika, we have to say. Now let’s just hope her Laila song has more of an impact on the big screen than it did online!
