First Promo: 'Mukhtasar' from Teri Meri Kahaani (And a Fun Fact!)

Rashmi Daryanani , 02 May 2012

When I heard snippets of Mukhtasar in the Teri Meri Kahaani trailer, I really liked the sound of it and was waiting to hear a longer version. Well, the first promo of the film just released (that too four days earlier), so check it out and let us know if you think the Shahid/Priyanka chemistry is working!

PS. Want to know a fun fact about the song?

Mukhtasar means brief, momentary, or even simple. It’s also only the second time this word has been used in a Hindi film song – the first time was in the song Tum Pukaar Lo in 1969:

I love the lyrics and particularly the usage of this word, especially considering the story of the film. Loosely translated, the song says it’s a brief meeting, there are things left unsaid. Which is interesting, since the characters meet over three lives. Guess when it comes to love, sometimes even three lifetimes are not enough to say what you need to, right? :)

What do you think of the song?
