On a recent trip to India, Pamela Anderson was moved by the significant amounts of homeless dogs she noticed on the streets. So, what did Baywatch starlet decide to do? She asked a representative of PETA India to bring a homeless dog to America of course. Pam Anderson is a an avid PETA supporter – she even posed naked to promote their anti-fur campaign. You know, “I’d rather go naked than wear fur!”

Anderson is now a new owner of a puppy who was rescued in Mumbai, which she has named “Pyari” meaning, “loved one”

Pamela Anderson was quoted as saying, “I’m thrilled to be able to give Pyari a loving home. I already have rescued dogs, and I urge everyone to join me in adopting a homeless dog from their local animal shelter or the streets instead of buying a so-called ‘pedigree’.”

Do her rescue efforts make you want to go rescue a puppy?
