Parineeti Chopra stated that when she first entered Yash Raj Films, she thought her first film would be with SRK, and the second with Aamir. So probably Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and Ishaqzaade were not her dream debuts, but I think she did them both justice, and buzz about her in the industry is good! Also, when asked which of Priyanka Chopra‘s films she’d like to do if they were remade, Parineeti Chopra opts for Fashion. However, she maintains that she has no interest in overtaking Priyanka – here’s what she said!
Says Parineeti Chopra, “I am foolish if I try to compete with her. She is 10 years ahead of me. I am not mad, and neither am I interested in overtaking her. She is a wonderful actress. I can only learn from her.”
Parineeti also goes on to say that she hasn’t signed on any films yet, but she will soon, because she’s looking forward to what’s coming next. I sort of like the attitude with which she’s approaching the industry – since she fell into it by accident, she seems to be excited yet sort of wary; like she’s interested in going further but won’t be too fussed if things don’t work out (she said she’ll just turn to singing instead). Considering that she’s actually good at acting (I loved her in Ishaqzaade), it’s nice to see that – so far – she’s maintaining a healthy reality check as well. Maybe that’s what it’ll take to make her The Next Big Thing; I definitely think she has the potential to get there!
