Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Ball tour of Asia seems to be coming under a lot of flack from religious fundamentalists and governments, alike! Yesterday, in Manila, Conservative Christians staged street protests to demand a government ban on her show, alleging some of Lady Gaga’s songs are blasphemous and amount to “devil worship!” However, the show went ahead as per schedule and she will go ahead with a second show today!

But if that’s not enough to contend with, her show in Indonesia is under jeopardy from the government and religious hardliners.

Yoes C. Kenawas of The Jakarta Post writes, “The National Police (Polri) stated that they would not issue a permit for Lady Gaga’s concert scheduled for Jakarta on June 3, 2012, for, among other reasons, fears that the Grammy Award winner would exploit her sensuality in a manner which could harm the moral of Indonesian youths.

This statement is more or less in line with the same tune as that of the Islam Defenders Front (FPI), which previously said that Lady Gaga would “bring the faith of Satan to the country and thus would destroy the nation’s morals”

Of course, Lady Gaga took to Twitter and wrote:

Let’s wait and see what happens….
