What a gentleman Akshay Kumar turned out to be. The movie title Son of Sardar was initially registered by him, but when Ajay Devgn approached him and asked for him to part with the title, Akki happily agreed. Now, it seems, Ajay Devgn has asked him for another favour… which also benefits Shah Rukh Khan!
Akshay’s film, Khiladi 786, was initially set to release during Diwali, at the same time as Son of Sardar. Ajay requested that he postpone the release of this film so as to avoid any clashes, and Akshay gracefully bowed out. His film will now release on December 7th.
Incidentally, this also avoids a clash with the upcoming YRF untitled film starring Shah Rukh, Katrina and Anushka. Considering that SRK and Akshay seem to have been becoming friendly recently, this gesture can only be considered a positive one in strengthening their bond.
