Ever since it was announced that Kolkatta-based designer, Kallol Datta, will be one of the finale designers for the next season of Lakme Fashion Week, the fashion world has been in a tizzy…and all with good reason! Apart from describing himself as “India’s Heaviest Fashion Designer,” Kallol is also pretty much high on talent!
For instance, his array of prints over the years (landmine victims, hangman, dragonflies, gay stick figures, cats, clocks etc) have always been larger-than-life, make some political or social statement and have had other younger designers try similar gimmicks!
