One of the biggest themes in Bollywood is friendship – sometimes intense, sometimes playful, sometimes romantic… but at times, it seems like a Bollywood film just isn’t complete without a little bit of dostana! Today on Best Friends Day, let’s take a look at some of Bollywood’s greatest BFFs.
1. Jai and Veeru
Jai and Veeru seem to epitomize friendship – you’ll still always hear comments such as “they’re like Jai and Veeru” to describe best friends! And Yeh Dosti Hum Nahin Todenge is pretty much one of the most famous friendship songs.
2. Munna and Circuit
These two always have each other’s backs – which often results in some hilarious outcomes!
3. Aakash, Sameer and Siddharth
Dil Chahta Hai is one of the most iconic friendship films. Aakash, Sameer and Siddharth play just-graduated boys, who manage to hold on to their friendship even while maturing.
4. Rahul and Anjali
They fight, they argue, they get on each other’s nerves… but you know, they’re best friends, ya! Plus… Rahul and Anjali taught us that pyar dosti hai. 🙂
5. Rancho, Farhan and Raju
These three boys come from different walks of life and find themselves thrown together in engineering college. Like any friendship, theirs has gone through rough patches, but manages to stand the test of time – and culminates in a cross-country road trip to reunite.
6. Rats and Meow
Like Rahul and Anjali, this is another classic case of pyar dosti hai. They’re inseparable from the very beginning, but only realize they love each other when they start dating other people.
7. Kunal, Sam and Neha
When the film is titled Dostana, what else can you expect? Kunal, Sam and Neha’s friendship may be based on strange circumstances, but even so, they’re inseparable. And Jaane Kyun is, in my opinion, one of the best modern day friendship songs.
