He may not have made it to the ranks of Madame Tussauds as yet, but in in his native city of Hamburg (Germany), a wax statue of Chanel’s Creative director, Karl Lagerfeld has been installed in the local museum, St. Pauli Panopticon. His statue keeps company with other notable Germans like Pope Benedict XVI and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The statue which took a year to create by sculptor Saskia Ruth, features such Lagerfeld trademarks as his dark-glasses, finger-less gloves and white-haired ponytail.
