Freida Pinto has certainly made a splash in the international circuit post her debut in Slumdog Millionaire. Her sartorial choices and front row fixture has cemented her place as a bona fide style icon. She’s been invited to sit up front at luxury heavyweights such as Chanel and Salvatore Ferragamo and is often dolled up in designer duds such as Marchesa and Prada. It’s no wonder then, that she landed on the cover of cult indie magazine Flaunt.
In the editorial shot by Yu Tsai, the actress dons a retro wig and channels her inner ‘50s diva wearing luxury brands such as Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana and Versace paired with Roger Vivier shoes adorned with pearls (pearls!) She rubbishes claims in her interview, that she behaves like a diva and doffs her hat to fellow actress Kareena Kapoor for bridging the pay disparity between male and female actors in Bollywood.
With her upcoming movie Desert Dancer out only early 2013, we just have to wait and watch for her next red carpet appearances!
