Director Rohit Shetty has a string of hits to his name – his Golmaal series and Singham, for example. However, if there’s one thing he feels guilty about, it’s not giving Abhishek Bachchan a hit.

Here’s what he told HT:

Rohit Shetty says: “I owe Abhishek a hit. Zameen bombed. We had made that film in two years and I was almost written off. The film failed because of many production issues but its failure is my responsibility as I was helming the project.”

Zameen was Rohit’s debut film with Abhishek, which did terribly at the box office. Bol Bachchan will be his next film with Abhishek, nine years later, and Rohit says he hopes the film works. On his part, you may remember that Abhishek said Bol Bachchan was his most difficult film, since Rohit made him change his approach to comedy.

Here’s wishing them both well for the release!
