Gangs of Wasseypur garnered great reviews from critics, and has done well with the audiences as well, recording high occupancy rates. The producers have now decided to release the second part of the film earlier than they had planned. Since the film did well at the box office, the producers are keen on cashing in on the good reviews and popularity. Therefore, the release date of part two has been fixed for August 10th. The one thing I’m interested in knowing though, is whether they will edit down part two. I’ve heard mostly good reviews about Gangs of Wasseypur, but one of the major gripes was its unnecessarily long run time. I wonder if the makers will take that point into notice and attempt to cut down on the length of part two.
