French brand Lanvin always has something kooky up its sleeve. After last season’s dancing models, they’ve decided to go down a completely different route.

They’ve chosen real women to front their Autumn/Winter 2012 ad-campaign. You know what that means? NO SKINNY MODELS POUTING!

Shot by world famous photographer Steven Meisel, who focuses his lens on different women between the ages of 18-65. Yes, you read that right 65! And that’s not all, these ladies are as real as they can get, coming from all walks of life.

From a waitress to an ex-showgirl, they all pose so fiercely that they ought to give their day job a break and join modelling. I just love the approach Alber Elbaz – creative director of Lanvin had. He’s truly made a statement via his ads, don’t you think?
