Sometimes there’s just no happily ever after. Take for example the end of the fairytale marriage between funnyman Russell Brand and pop star Katy Perry. Just a few days after their divorce was finalized, Brand has revealed on the Howard Stern radio show the reason behind their split.Brand cites the long distance as the wedge that drove them apart. He also revealed that he was ready to start a family with Katy.
“She’s young, successful and dedicated. I was really into the idea of marriage and having babies.” Brand is quoted to have said.
Perhaps Brand is going on damage control mode, after Perry’s documentary Part of Me revealed Brand would refuse to meet her while on tour, and she used to sob post her concerts over the breakdown of her marriage. Doesn’t that just break your heart? I’m sure all the Katy Perry fans are saying good riddance to Brand for that!
