
For Bangalore-based designer Deepika Govind, textiles play a very important role in her clothes.

For her forthcoming Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012 collection, she’s worked with the patola weave from Patan, Gujarat and married it with Pop Art references. Entitled “Pop Patola” the collection features juicy hues and some funky embroidery! Expect to find in the collection; peplum blouses, layered skirts, a new twist to the dhoti trousers and short dresses. Check out the making of the campaign below:
