Wendell Rodricks needs no introduction. The Goa-based fashion designer has been in the industry for over 20 years and has made a name for himself with his minimalistic approach to design.
Yesterday, he unveiled a special preview of his upcoming Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012 collection. For the 2nd time around; he has tied up with mineral water brand Himalayan for a line that encompasses their brand philosophy Timeless. He also created a special edition label for their bottle – a first from an Indian designer!
The teaser showcased four looks that featured Rodricks’ trademark fluid lines. This time, he incorporated Indian elements such as the zero, the sari, the kurta and the dhoti. The colour palette includes colours such as fuschia, saffron, burnt orange and sunshine yellow. I particularly love the Mango-hued dress with hot pink accents, would love to see someone like Deepika Padukone wearing it! Check out what Wendell has to say:
