Indian Models Harassed by Promoters of a Fashion Week

At a recent fashion week in a princely state of India, we are told the shady organizers were quite off the mark when it came to dealing with the models they had hired – some pretty well known names in the industry – and their celebrity choreographer as well.

Since everybody requested anonymity, we’ll stay clear of naming the event and the people involved but the choreographer and the models have told us that this was the most harrowing experience at a fashion week, EVER!

“The organizers not only kept trying to delay our final payments but when we threatened not to continue doing shows at the fashion week till we got paid, they stopped supplying us food and expected us to pay for our meals from our own pockets,” the angry girls tell us. “We had to scream and shout and create a scene till our payments were made in full and we were given adequate food,” they add.

And if that’s not enough, a Google search by the injured party proved that one of the organizers was arrested and imprisoned in the past for being involved in a prostitution racket.

Tsk! Tsk! It takes just a few to give an industry a bad name.
