Sheena Sippy launches Mumbai Monsoon Araku Coffee at Tote

Photographer Sheena Sippy (filmmaker Ramesh Sippy’s daughter) was recently invited to launch the Mumbai Monsoon Araku Coffee at Tote in Mumbai.

Grown in the Araku Valley in Andhra Pradesh, the brand is founded by Manoj Kumar (of the Naandi Foundation) who encouraged the tribal farmers from the area to convert semi-wastelands into organic coffee plantations. Over a ten year period, almost a lakh illiterate tribals are part of the coffee growing initiative here.

Mumbai Monsoon has a smooth creamy texture, zing of crisp sweet tanginess and a pot pourri of flavours – fresh citrus, green apple, nutty almond and dark chocolate. An explosive yet delicious combination of taste sensations to lift your spirits on a damp thundering monsoon day!

Also spotted were Nisha Jamvwal, Reshma Merchant and artist Brinda Miller.
