Usually when the media attends an event, they are given a small token of appreciation (or a goody bag) as a gift when they are leaving. This will usually be a sample of the products the company is launching or a box of chocolates. A sweet gesture, no doubt!
But recently, we attended an event and were given a box, neatly wrapped in gold paper. On reaching home, however, we were highly amused to find a fake Armani leather wallet, once we had opened the package!
And maybe we wouldn’t be so amused if it was not for the fact that it was given to us by a multi-designer fashion outlet. Are they allowed to do that?!
C’est la vie…
