Probably my biggest disappointment in life is not receiving my Hogwarts acceptance letter via owl post – my heart still sinks a little every September 1st, when the Hogwarts Express supposedly leaves Platform 9 3/4 and I’m not on it. But for two children, that Hogwarts dream is about to come true. Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling is building a Hogwarts-themed adventure playground for two of her kids, David (9) and Mackenzie (7). The tree houses will be 40 feet high (two storeys) and are estimated to cost around £150,000. The two towers will feature secret tunnels, trap doors, firemen pole escapes, spiral staircases, slides, and a rope bridge connecting the towers. And the best part? This entire construction is happening in her very own backyard. These kids… will have Hogwarts… in their backyard. Why is this not my life?!
