On Wednesday evening I finally visited the recently refurbished Liberty Cinema for the unveiling of the annual SWISS Calendar with Narendra Kumar who visited Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe to create this Time Travel themed Calendar for 2012-2013. Nari came out in a tailcoat and pencil thin (and penciled in) moustache – a la The Artist – dragging along an oxygen tank as he explained that his trip to the Swiss peaks was a near-death experience which he has now happily recovered from.

I was excited to see this iconic venue come back to life and look forward to seeing many more glamourous events here, my only word of advice to the management would be to get that red carpet nailed down, literally. Lest it become a near-death experience for tumbling guests in high heels!

I also quite like what Miss September is wearing, a 1920s silhouette in black & white with gorgeous nostalgic appliqué…

And Miss July conjured up memories of The Hunger Games and Katniss’ flaming dress, don’t you think? In fact the model kinda looks like she’d make a good Katniss Everdeen herself 🙂

Miss January’s dress was not my fave but had an interesting sari-wrap feel to it.

Here’s a quick look at all the pretty peeps who came!

A pouch that caught my eye (Get This Look coming soon).

And one outfit I will never understand… *lol*

But the Time Travel calendar, beautifully shot by ace photographer Prasad Naik tells the story of fashion and travel from the past decades, and each of Narendra Kumar’s creations for the Calendar is a replica of what you would imagine, elegant ladies of the respective decades would be wearing. Check it out!
