Actor Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao along with his nephew Imran Khan (and his wife Avantika), came out to celebrate his ex-wife, Reena Datta‘s exhibition of vibrant water colour paintings, titled Explorations. Artist Laxmi Honavar also exhibited her paintings along with Reena.
Held at C’est la Vie’s Café Cocoa (in Bandra, Mumbai), the exhibition featured paintings which depicted scenes from the streets of Bandra& France, to the waters of Venice to landscapes of Ladakh,Konkan & Bhutan.
The informal atmosphere with soft music playing in the background, was complemented even more by the pouring rain and chitter-chatter of the invitees, who viewed the paintings over coffee.
The collection was titled Explorations as it symbolized their journey through the colours, the medium, the places, and in some way, themselves. Although their excursion with colours started at home, Laxmi and Reena showcased how their voyage across the globe inspired them.
