Could it be? Yes it appears that the powers that be at MTV have decided to cancel Jersey Shore after its sixth season. It’s the end of a fist-pumping era!
On September 6th, the network will air a special called Gym, Tan, Look Back where the cast will look back at previous seasons and tease the final one. Even though Jersey Shore is the highest rated series in MTV’s history thus far, once the program’s biggest star, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, 24, got pregnant, they weren’t even sure about a sixth season. Here’s how the cast reacted on Twitter when they heard the news…
But don’t panic if you’re addicted to this train wreck. Snooki – who gave birth to her son Lorenzo on Sunday – and her Shore bestie, Jennifer “JWoww” Farley’s spinoff Snooki & JWOWW (which will likely feature Snooki giving birth) has been picked up for a second season. *facepalm*
Anyway, the Shore gang’s final season takes place in Seaside Heights, N.J., where it all began. (Everyone else don’t worry, it’s almost over.)
