Our Bollywood celebrities are always surrounded by lots of glitz and glam – but have you ever wondered what goes on inside their heads at that point in time? On tonight’s episode of The Front Row with Anupama Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor was asked that very question – and here’s what he had to say!
Anupama Chopra: As you move in this very high glitz world with all the hype and all the media, are you mindful of being viewed as an object or becoming an object? Do you have these conversations with yourselves?
Ranbir Kapoor: You know, I have always been a detached person. If I’m working on a film, I’ll give my life for it. I’m extremely shameless about it, but once the film is done I’m out of it. It’s out of my system. I don’t feel attached to it. So I’ve never felt success or failure. I keep quiet on set and it seems like I’m really thinking but I swear to God, like eight hours of the twelve hour day, I’m just sitting on a chair, I’ve no thought in my head. It’s just white noise. I haven’t cultivated this. I guess it’s my personality. This is who I’m. I have very few people in my life who I’m attached to. I don’t have many friends. I don’t surround myself with too many people and I like it that way. I like to live my life in this isolated detached way.
