It’s the most exciting time of the year! The international fashion weeks have begun. First up, is New York Fashion Week where one of my favourite designers Prabal Gurung showcased his spring/summer 2013 collection.
Inspired by Anish Kapoor, the collection’s colour palette was dominated with whites, greys and reds. Frothy feathery tulle skirts were seen in abundance. Also what was noticeable was a strong sportswear silhouette in this collection. The Nepalese designer also didn’t forget his roots. He was inspired by the humble kurta and incorporated that into his line.
Simply stunning. Knowing how much he’s loved on the red carpet, I’m sure it won’t be long till we see a sighting of his fabulous work.
