Move over Aztec and retire that polka print, Ashish N Soni has merged fashion and science together. He gave us prints that we would have probably last seen under a school microscope!
Entitled Cytology – The Micro Lab, his clothes retained signature sharp cuts and tailoring. His line comprised of dresses, crisp jackets and pant suits.
Dipping into the colour box he used shades like mustard, grey, navy blue and red. He also reinterpreted silhouettes layering a traditional kurta over a pencil skirt. But amoeba cells translated onto trench coats and pant suits are certainly not for the faint of heart!
The make-up was kept stark and simple, hair pulled back in a severe part with kohl rimmed eyes.
Who would imagine blood platelets could translate so well as prints?
