The biggest trend to emerge from the spring/summer 2013 catwalks was undoubtedly stripes.
Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier were the ones who put the humble stripe – once belonging to French sailors – into high fashion.
For the upcoming season, stripes have undergone a playful makeover. Etro had sent out embellished stripes making the outfit fit for an evening out.
Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana and James Ferreira featured bold prison stripes in their collection. Certainly not for the wallflower! If horizontal or vertical ones are your not scene – Shivan & Narresh‘s chevron-esque lines will appease you.
Style tip: If you’re short remember that vertical stripes will lengthen your body. Horizontal stripes will make you appear larger.
