Aashiyana Shroff is the uber-talented pastry chef and entrepreneur of ‘Tart’. She bakes cakes, cookies, brownies, breads and anything else that one might desire.
Baking has always been a passion of mine. So I always knew that I would get involved with it at some point. Tart was started because I saw a need for a high-end bakery as there weren’t too many places that offered good quality desserts. Our desserts really speak for themselves. 1 cup unsalted butter
2½ cups icing sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Edible food colouring (I have chosen Halloween themed colours – martian green, blood red, pumpkin orange)
Combine ingredients into mixer and whip for 5-7 minutes, until you get a smooth creamy frosting. If you are able to pipe frosting onto cupcakes using a nozzle attachment then do so! Otherwise get a knife and generously spread icing over cupcakes (there’s no such thing as too much frosting).
