Actress Nandita Das and her husband Subodh Maskara have started a new production company, Chhoti Production Company Pvt. Ltd. with an aim to tell compelling stories through various creative mediums, exploring new and unique ideas.
Their first production – Between The Lines -will be staged at the Tata Theatre, NCPA, Nariman Point (Mumbai) on October 6th & 7th, 2012 at 7:00 pm.
This is the first time that Nandita Das is writing and directing a play and also the first time that Subodh Maskara will be acting on stage. It is a two-actor play with Nandita and Subodh playing the lead characters.
Nandita will perform on stage after nearly eight years. After her acclaimed first directorial feature, Firaaq, three years ago, Between the Lines will give her the opportunity to bring her various interests and skills together. Her experiences in both human rights’ and the creative field, will make the play special, both in its content and form. She has co-written the play with actor-writer Divya Jagdale.
