The festive season is just a few days away, so here are a few tips to celebrate this season of ‘light & love’. These tips are especially for men and kids (and grooms too!) Wishing everyone a beauteous season full of love, light & prosperity.
1. Dhanteras

On this day lamps are lit throughout the night as the ‘Owl’ form of Lakshmi, Goddess of Wealth & Prosperity, is worshiped. Sport an embroidered kurta, or youthful bundhgala with dhoti pants. Add a stole for a more formal look.
2. Diwali
Diwali, the festival of lights, signifies the triumph of good over evil. We recommend sporting a fun sherwani in bright colors, or a short kurti with funky dhoti pants, jodhpuris, or fitted trousers. The lil ones could dress in sherwanis with a dhoti for a fun Diwali.
3. Hindu New Year/ Children’s day/ Govardhan Puja/ Padva
Hindu New year is celebrated across all communities of India with various rituals & traditions, while Gowardhan Puja emphasizes taking care of ‘nature’. The Padwa, is symbolic of love & devotion between the wife & husband. Wear bright colors to bring in prosperity, or spiritual colors like white & golds. Dress the little one in a hip bundhgala with jodhpuris.
4. Bhai Beej
Sisters pray for their brothers to have long & happy lives . One could wear kurti & textured pants, or fun tops in colors like reds, orange, yellows, etc. over fitted trousers, to be sync with the festive season.
