Yesterday, Talaash director Reema Kagti gave an interview to Bombay Times, where she claimed that Sanjay Gupta had alleged during a film awards jury meeting that Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was a copy of an international film. Since Reema co-wrote ZNMD with Zoya Akhtar, it’s obvious why she didn’t take too kindly to the allegations – except that it seems Sanjay didn’t appreciate her statements in the interview either, and lashed out at her on Twitter. Here are their respective statements.

Reema Kagti told Bombay Times:

“This ridiculous and baseless allegation [of ZNMD being a copy] was started by Sanjay Gupta at one of the film awards jury meeting. I think a person like Sanjay, who does not have a single original frame in his seven films, should not be talking about originality.”

Sanjay hit back on Twitter, saying:

Wonder what Reema has to say in response to that!
