The very first show that started at IRFW was James Ferreira and that started out quite literally with a bang. The designer enlisted Tao Sharvani (that’s Isha Sharvani’s brother) to perform – who drummed away on a huge kettle drum while his sister danced and later walked the ramp.
If only I had the jet-set lifestyle – I would have snapped up James Ferreira’s pieces that he showcased on the runway, in a heartbeat. His Dawn to Dusk resort collection was a fun mix of kaftans, sarongs and sexy swimsuits and cover ups which featured his signature drapes.
Juicy hues like reds, oranges, pinks and purples dominated the runway. With EDM music blasting over the sound system, the models walked with swag – pausing at certain intervals and doing a little jig.
James tied up with accessory brand Bracialeto for his show and models were seen sporting layered neck pieces and chunky bracelets.
Men weren’t left out – sheer shirts and cover ups in monochrome colours and seriously tiny trunk shorts (not that we’re complaining!) made us make mental notes of what to buy for our better halves.
