The gang-rape of a 23-year-old student in a moving bus on the night of December 16 in the capital city of Delhi has triggered anger, outrage and shock amongst every citizen of this country.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone attended a the peace march led by Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan over the weekend along with Sona Mohapatra, Kailash Kher, Mandira Bedi, Genelia D’Souza, Kunal Kapoor, Javed Akhtar and Satish Kaushik. The silent march went from Juhu Beach to Kafi Azmi park. (Looks like Ranveer was doing some healing of his own with a bandaid across one cheek.) But on a more serious note, if you’re wondering what can I do to help? Here’s your answer.

Don’t let the death of a 23-year-old girl be in vain. Our petition for change has gathered over 91,000 signatures. Every voice counts and tomorrow Namita Bhandare is going to the office of Justice J.S. Verma (who is the head of a three-person committee that will submit its findings and recommendations on issues of safety of women). That’s where she will be submitting the petition with all our signatures (yes, all 2,700+ pages!) So spread the world and sign the petition. We don’t have a lot of time. Be the change you want see, be it now.
