Even though he’s tasted super success in Bollywood with his perfect comic timing and boy-next-door looks, actor Riteish Deshmukh now wants to focus on Marathi cinema which has not got the kind of dues that Bollywood does.
According to our sources, Riteish has been quoted as saying, “I am trying to take Marathi films to a new level with assistance from Bollywood in the fields of action, dance and more. From Farah Khan to Remo, it is time that we used this talent in the Marathi film industry as well. We need to create more heroes in this industry. We have great actors but the genre of ‘heroes’ is missing here. I will do my bit, but for the rest, time will tell.”
Sources also have it that Riteish is also in plans to produce a Marathi film with Akshay Kumar in partnership.
