Singer Shweta Pandit has done a classic rendition of the famous song, I Dreamed A Dream (from Les Miserables). It is her first ever solo English classic song rendition and she chose this particular number because,”Anne Hathaway sings it in Les Miserables and we both had decided to work on our music when she visits India. I met Anne at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Norway, where I had the honor of performing with my guru, AR Rahman sir and Hathaway was hosting it with Denzel Washington. It was one of the best concerts of my life and etched in my memory and truly a big highlight in my music career.

Adds Shweta, “Another reason to choose this particular song was, when I met Hugh Jackman in Mumbai, he precisely asked if I sing English or just Bollywood. Since I hadn’t recorded any song in English at the time, I promised to send it to him in a few months and then since he’s also singing and acting in Les Miserables, which is my favorite classic Broadway, I decided to send this song to him!”
