People can be really mean, especially when they try to kill off a celebrity in the media, just to grab eyeballs. And no one knows this better than Gul Panag who discovered that a website reported that she had died in a jet-ski island in Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The actress was quick to address her fans on Twitter and wrote to them saying:
Even her publicist sent out an email to the Indian media, saying, “Hi. Gul is absolutely fine. This is a bizarre prank rumour. The exact same rumour has been known to be prevalent in Hollywood – Liam Neeson, Keanu Reeves and Arnold Schwarzenegger have also been victims to it in the past. Web managers use it as a hoax to generate traffic to a site, using celebs with online influence.”
Gul Panag has almost Five Lakh followers on Twitter.
