The plot thickens…

Chaos Theory is a story of two Indians, Sunita and Mukesh who spend 30 years together, starting out at Delhi University in the 1960’s ending up  professors at Columbia University in 2001. He teaches Elizabethan poetry and she South Asian History. They are articulate, intelligent, well-read people who can express all sorts of complicated ideas and emotions in other people’s words (Shakespeare, Hegel, Kant) without being able to articulate how they feel about each other. The story captures them simultaneously in various periods of time as we watch them do things life requires of them, i.e, marriage, careers, children, with other people. All the while, meeting every Thursday for Shakespeare quotation games for 30 years.
