Numerous sports people have tried to enter Bollywood but with disastrous results. Cricketer Ajay Jadeja tried his hand at acting in Khel and Pal Pal Dil Ke Saath but failed to make an impact. More recently, tennis ace Leander Paes made his debut in Rajdhani Express but his acting prowess was severely criticized.
Now we hear that cricketer Harbhajan Singh will be making his acting debut in Akshay Kumar’s Punjabi film Bha Ji In Problem. The film is produced by Akshay Kumar / Ashwini Yardi’s company Grazing Goat Pictures.
Details of Harbhajan’s role in the film have not been revealed but it’s rumoured to be a rather interesting cameo where he will be seen returning to his Punjabi roots.
Singh will be filming with Punjabi actors Gippy Grewal and Gurpreet Ghuggi among several other big names such as Om Puri in Chandigarh, just before the start of the IPL-6.
Let’s hope his innings on the silver screen fares better than those of Ajay Jadeja and Leander Paes.
