When MissMalini asked me to “go have fun” at Guerlain’s first-ever Pop-Up Store at Bungalow 8, I decided to take her words quite literally. Team MissMalini’s in-house photographer, Khyati Gandhi, and I met international makeup artist, Gary Cooper, who took us on a tour in to the magical world of the most exclusive make-up and fragrance brand, Guerlain.

Want to know how he managed to convince me that I needed to go out and celebrate last night?

The Guerlain Pop-up Studio
Steps to Get This Look Make-up

I sat at their pop-up studio where Gary spoke with us about how-to’s and what-not-to’s (scroll down for his make-up tips!). We began by taking a look at Guerlain’s new Spring  collection.

Gary suggested he’d try some of the eye make-up on me, so I sat down and let him work his magic!

Guerlain Terracotta Touch Glow-Enhancing Perfector

He used the Guerlain Terracotta Touch Glow-Enhancing Perfector (that contains pure gold btw) under my eyes to create a natural glowing complexion.

Guerlain Météorites Illuminating Pressed Powder

I was very fascinated with the Guerlain Météorites Illuminating Pressed Powder. These powders have 5 shades of pearls and each serves a different purpose.
Green: corrects redness | Pink: gives a healthy glow | White: illuminates | Yellow: highlights natural light | Mauve: brightens skin

Guerlain Rue de Francs Bourgeois Eyeshadow Palette

He used the Guerlain Rue de Francs Bourgeois Eyeshadow which is a palette of six different shades. He used the darker shade near the eyelashes and went lighter towards the eyebrow.

Guerlain Cils d’Enfer Maxi Lash Mascara

The Guerlain Cils d’Enfer Maxi Lash Mascara wand has dense bristles and it works wonders when you need some volume on your lashes.

Confession: I am super scared to wear mascara!

Guerlain Or Impérial Sublime Radiant Powder

To finish my look Gary used this amazing sparkly shimmer called Guerlain Or Impérial Sublime Radiant Powder; on my face, neck and hands. Et voilà! J’ai eu un éclat magnifique (And voila! I had a beautiful glow).

Here are some tips for you from Gary:
1. Use liquid Eyeliner that does not smudge or crack.
2. Purple is the current trend for your eyes. (Click for purple peepers here!)
3. Make sure to use a primer before applying any make-up. This helps to avoid fading of the make-up and protects your skin as well.
4. Green is also a very fresh and trendy colour.
5. Meteorites by Guerlain is highly recommended for Indian skin.

If you have read my beauty essentials blog, you will know that I use very basic make-up, but this time I decided to go all out. What do you think of my look?

Cheers to Being Beautiful
