I’m sure there have been times, when you have thought that you needed some colour in your wardrobe, but were too scared to experiment! If yes, NOW is the time to invest in a coloured pair of jeans. This Spring-Summer’13, you can wear some fun bottoms that are not OTT, and will flatter your body shape.

Option 1, pastel: light coral, pista green and powder blue.

Option 2, medium tones: burnt orange, mustard and moss green.

These are great, as they are earthy tones, but still add a pop of colour to an otherwise dull palette.

Option 3, dark shades: wine and burgundy.

Option 4, shades of blue: from indigo to electric.

This is an easy look to achieve. Being a shade of blue, it feels comfortable to play with, but yet adds a zing of colour!

Things to remember:

  • When wearing bright coloured bottoms, keep the top neutral in shades such as white, beige and navy.
  • You can wear two solid colours together, if it is broken with a neutral like whith or beige. It is a bold and playful look.

You can accessorise with a simple scarf, like Jessica Alba has done in this image below.

If you want to be brave and experiment a bit, black and white animal print tops and stripes can look great with colour!

Just like you could be boring if you had nothing fun to say, you could be boring, if you have nothing fun to wear! So please girls, go out there and experiment a bit. Being stylish is not about being perfect. It’s making a confident statement about who you are. And hopefully that’s fun ;)!
