We take the cause of breast cancer awareness very seriously here at MissMalini. So we were pleased to hear that our favourite swimwear designers Shivan & Narresh have designed a special edition mastectomy blouse that was unveiled at the Design One expo press conference at The Lodhi, Delhi recently. If you didn’t know – the Design One expo is spearheaded by the Sahachari foundation. It has a 2 pronged approach – promoting talent within the country and raising funds for charity. The chief guest for the event was Yashodhara Raje-Scindia who handed over the keys of a brand new car to Sakha Cars – an only women taxi service.
Speaking on the occasion: Yashodhara Raje Scindia said, “Women’s upliftment and safety, is a cause very close to my heart. It delights me to see organizations such as the Sahachari Foundation actively work towards making a change, through the causes they support. Given the current national scenario, I believe any step in the direction of women’s safety and upliftment is an important one. It has been a pleasure to be associated with this event. I wish more people would take on such initiatives for the betterment of society.”
