When you think of “item girl,” Sonakshi Sinha is probably not the name that comes to mind – and yet she’s appeared in an item song for Sajid Khan‘s next, Himmatwala. For this, Sonakshi says, she did no preparations – according to her, people say she has the “old-world charm” and therefore she used just that for the song. Good thing, too, because the song features two looks, both of which are inspired by actresses from the 80s – Parveen Babi from Shaan and Sridevi from Chaalbaaz. What do you think of Thank God It’s Friday? I totally agree that Sonakshi has the old-world charm and she’s probably one of the few people who looks the part for such a song. Plus, I think she’s danced well too and the bit of Michael Jackson she pulled out in the middle was quite the surprise.
